Verrotwood 6 - The Pools of Sorrow

Introduction The air is dank and visibility is poor in the constant mist. The ground roils underfoot and strange whispers fill the air.  A place once full of light is now home to darkness.  The cultists move forwards searching for the Pools of Sorrow. The Pools of Sorrow are an area in the Verrotwood which before the fall were once places of healing.  However, whilst healing is no longer available, if one has courage enough there is Favor and Power to be gained. This is a self penned encounter.  The cultists must decide whether to risk gazing into a Pool of Sorrow.  If doing so they must roll a D10.  For one of the lesser pools: a roll of 1-5 means they'll suffer 2 Damage (DAM); a roll of 6-10 sees them gain 10 Favor (FAV).  For a greater pool: a roll of 1-5 will automatically spawn a Ghost (as per the Verrotwood rules); 6-10 sees them gain 25 FAV.  It takes one action to gaze and the cultist must be in contact with a pool.  Round 1 Round 1 s...

Verrotwood AAR 5 - The Hare of Yester

Introduction  Spring has finally arrived in the Verrotwood.  After a brutally harsh winter where survival was their sole concern, the cultists of Wisentii and The Uncoiling of Beiysss are now ready to sally forth again. With Spring comes news that The Hare of Yester has been seen.  Both cults descend into the deep forest to seek the mysterious entity and fight for Favor and Power in the service of their dark deities.  The Hare of Yester appears in the Egg Hunt Encounter in The Village & the Hare  supplement by Mike Crutchett.  This is the fifth game of my Awakening Campaign.  The AARs for the other games are here ,  here ,  here  and here . Verrotwood AAR 4 - The Haunted Village

Introduction  News of an abandoned village draws the cultists of The Uncoiling of Beiysss and the Wisentii into the Verrotwood again.  Whispers abound that the place is haunted but they are undeterred and they strike out, forever searching for Favor and Power for their dark deities.  The Uncoiling of Beiysss Wisentii Set up The Haunted Village is an encounter that appears in The Mother & the Damned supplement by Mike Crutchett.  This is the fourth game of my Awakening Campaign.  The AARs for the other three games are here , here and here .
