2025 doing Ovelist - Second third update

Two thirds of the way through 2025 and it's time for the second update of the year.  The gaming update for this period is here.

The image below is how the Ovelist looked at the start of the year, the detail is here

Here's what it looked like at the end of April with the detail here

And here's the state of play at the end of August.

As is my way I've tweaked the Ovelist. For this latest version large ticks are still for projects where I've finished the miniatures/afvs etc. I've avoided the term completed project as in reality they don't exist!  Small ticks show how many months I've completed something for that project.  However, the small ticks now also indicate which month.  There's three rows of four which corresponds with how I divide the year.

The previous balance at the end of April check point was:
  • 28mm - 30 figures (8 Verrotwood, 10 WW2, 12 Old West)
  • 20mm - 15 figures (15 WW2)
  • 15mm - 2 afvs (2 WW2)
  • 6mm - 311 figures (6 WW2; 305 Iran-Iraq War); 47 afvs; 5 aircraft (all Iran-Iraq War)
I've completed:
  • 11 28mm - 10 Old West, 1 Verrotwood.   The previous count of 12 Old West included two figures that  were originally "transferred" from the Norse Age, but they don't fit under Old West either.  I've finally moved them to Verrotwood as they're only suitable to make some odd creatures out of! I also sold 10 WW2 that I was never going to get round to doing.
  • 15 20mm - all WW2 figures
  • 15mm - 1 WW2 afv
  • 6mm -   42 Iran-Iraq War afvs completed.  I decided to scrap the 6 WW2 figures, as they were only test/samples and I won't be pursuing this project.
And added:
  • 15mm - 5 afvs ( all WW2)
With the current balance being:
  • 28mm - 9 figures - all Verrotwood
  • 15mm - 6 afvs - all WW2
  • 6mm - 305 figures; 5 afvs; 5 aircraft - all Iran-Iraq War

Three of the nine Verrotwood are in progress.  Of the 305 6mm, 223 are painted and varnished, and just need basing.  The remaining 82 are cleaned and primed.  I've not bought any figures during this period.  In fact April was the only month this year that I’ve bought any figures, and we can narrow that down to one day🤣.

I’ve not quite kept to my plan of doing at least one terrain "thing" a month, but June has been the only missed month so far.  I've focused on the bits that have been  sitting about for far too long, spending time on some bits for Elizabethan, post-apocalypse and items suitable for the Mediterranean theatre.  It's been good to clear these things up.

I've paused the 16th Century revamp for now.  It was meant to be infill work while working on The Iran-Iraq War and The Old West projects, but any spare hobby time has tended to be spent on terrain bits or game preparation.  I am wondering whether it's worth the effort of rebasing all the figures as there's quite a lot.

I was hoping to fill one of the "mystery" squares with a Hawkmoon project.  Unfortunately that now won't happen as Eureka Miniatures have cancelled the range.  Oh well, better it's cancelled now rather cancel it later on leaving an unfinished range.  My hobby fund is very healthy, I just need something to spend it on!

That was the only thing I'd settled on, as nothing else has completely aligned yet. i.e. this means a period/subject that’s got enough ongoing interest, figures that I want to work on and that enthuses me enough to want to spend time building two forces.  I know that I want to already have some terrain that'll work for whatever new projects I may start on.  I'm finding available terrain to be one of the principal factors in my decisions now.
